- I had absolutely the same problems and got rid of them just this morning.
- It was an IRQ conflict between mouse and modem ( ZOOM 14.4K). Though
- mouse on COM1 uses IRQ4 and modem was on COM4 and used IRQ 3 windows
- just would'n recognize the setting and thought that modem was on COM3.
- I of course managed to cope with this using wfxcomm.drv and playing with
- settings in [386enh] and comm programs but it just didn't work with
- Trumpet Winsock. So I put modem on COM3 IRQ5. Remember you have to
- change jumpers on the modem, and settings in windows control panel.
-
- Also changing COM3Base=3e8h and using comm.drv=wfxcomm.drv might help.
-
- That wrist hurts, doesn't it :-).
- If this does not help write me for more details.
